The Canadian Fighting Championship

The Canadian Fighting Championship (CFC) is a professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) organization focused on delivering world-class MMA events and original content to a cultivated, passionate, and intensely loyal customer base. The company is dedicated to propelling the growth of MMA in Canada by producing live events featuring only the best athletes.
Launched in 2009, the CFC brand is the recognized leader in combat sports and mixed martial arts in Central Canada and has developed into one of the most popular and sophisticated forms of entertainment today.
Our formula is straightforward. We develop compelling events and television content anchored by some of the most elite performers. Our strategy is to give back to the community, promote and give maximum exposure to fighters, continue to set the standard for safety and quality, and contribute to the positive development of MMA. We are working to expand the mainstream potential of the CFC brand and fully develop our web presence as an entertainment and advertising platform.
The company is headquartered in Winnipeg and offers four to six events annually through cable providers.
Giuseppe DeNatale – President
Giuseppe DeNatale has been a driving force of combat fighting in Canada since 2000, when he promoted his first of many sold-out shows. A former K-1 / World Champion kickboxer, DeNatale began promoting MMA shows in 2006 and is now the founder of the Canadian Fighting Championship. With his World Championship experience and a keen knowledge of all combat sports, DeNatale has produced some of Canada’s top fighters, including Joe Doerksen, Rodrigo Munduruca, and Dave Zuniga.
In his role as President of CFC, he oversees all strategy, planning, and operations. Based out of Winnipeg, DeNatale owns the biggest MMA gym in central Canada, Team Canada MMA. The son of immigrants, DeNatale prides himself on giving back to the community and proving that Canada is a land of huge opportunities. His efforts have proven very successful, resulting in rave reviews from fans and several events broadcast on pay-per-view. Having trained in martial arts since he was 8 years old, DeNatale has competed in professional Boxing, Muay Thai kick boxing, and MMA.
Marc-Andre Drolet – Vice President
Marc-Andre Drolet is Vice President of the CFC. He has had the unique opportunity to experience all levels of the business, starting when he competed in some of the country’s first sanctioned events in the late 90s. Drolet has held many different responsibilities including competing, managing, matchmaking, working as a corner man, and then eventually overseeing the planning and execution of shows. Under Drolet’s management and matchmaking, the CFC brand offers the most dynamic fights Winnipeg has ever seen, as well as a television deal showcasing the first two CFC events on The Fight Network heavily in the rotation.
In addition to his corporate responsibilities with CFC, Drolet has also become a respected source in the MMA industry, frequently sought out by television networks and media. In 2009, he spearheaded the creation of Canada’s top MMA website, Topmmanews.com, often the first to break news as it happens. In the role of Matchmaker for CFC, Drolet oversees all aspects of talent management and event lineups, utilizing an extensive contact base which has been built up over the past 15 years. He guides the planning of all events and serves as manager for several of Canada’s top fighters, including Robin Black and Sean Quinn, securing fight deals and in-fight sponsorship.
