It was a stellar event as expected. XFC 9 was exciting and entertaining through and through, the show begun with two fifteen year old amateurs that gave it their all from the moment they touched gloves all the way till the fight was finished. They also demonstrated high skills, good discipline and knowledge of the sport, as well as the sportsmanship of professional MMA fighter.
BCMMAA.COM is proud to say, we will be posting the entire event all throughout the week, be on the look out for Gary Magnat vs. Donny Johnson. It was a hell of a fight and an even better finish by Submission just fifty six seconds into the 3rd round
As well Dan "The Samurai" Lin, who brutalized his opponent Nick Kunning by T.K.O. in the first round only two minutes and sixteen seconds into the round, in a truly spectacular performance that left the crowed yelling for more.
The most amazing fight of the night has to go to Brandon Frost and Dustin Silvey. Brandon Frost won that fight in a spectacular thirty-seven seconds by submission.
We would also like to mention that the RCMP attended to offer extra security as well as regular security guards; the event however went off without a single incident. That goes to show that when a community gets together and organizes an event of this nature it can still be enjoyed in a civilized fashion.
BCMMAA.COM would like to personally thank Bill Mahood AKA “The Butcher” for inviting us to the city of Vernon to witness this magnificent fight card. We would also like to thank the management at the Sandman hotel for their warm hospitality as well as for letting us utilize there facilities for filming some of the interviews with the fighters
