UFC 131 weigh ins location moved to Jack Poole Plaza in Vancouver


Have scale, will travel.

The official weigh-in event for UFC 131: "Dos Santos vs. Carwin" is set to go down this Friday (June 10, 2011) from its new location: The Jack Poole Plaza in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Originally scheduled for the Rogers Arena, the promotion was forced to scramble for site B to accommodate for game five of the NHL's Stanley Cup Finals, hosted by none other than the Vancouver Canucks.

The UFC 131 weigh ins are currently scheduled to air LIVE on several other online destinations via streaming video. The first fighter is expected to tip the scale at 2 p.m. local time (5 p.m. ET).

"Dos Santos vs. Carwin" will feature former UFC heavyweight number one contender Shane Carwin, filling in for an injured Brock Lesnar, as he tries to eliminate The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 13 coach Junior dos Santos from the division title chase.

155 lbs.: Donald Cerrone vs. Vagner Rocha

145 lbs.: Kenny Florian vs. Diego Nunes

155 lbs.: Yves Edwards vs. Sam Stout
185 lbs.: Jesse Bongfeldt vs. Chris Weidman

For those fortunate enough to be in "Vansterdam" for the promotion's return to the Great White North, remember the weigh-in is FREE to attend and open to the public. Doors to the weigh-in will open at 1 p.m. local time for the general public.

In addition, UFC Fight Club members will be able to attend an exclusive Q&A session with UFC light heavyweight and The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) alum Stephan Bonnar on that same day at 12 p.m. PT.
