WarPath Fighting Championships (WFC), hosted by Four
Directions Marital Arts Academy, a mixed martial arts gym from Chilliwack,
welcomes fighters from across the province to Chilliwacks’ first-ever MMA fights in
a cage on Friday May 2nd 2014 at the Tzeachten Hall at 45855 Promontory Road.
WFC, previously with a traditional boxing ring, has ten fights scheduled for the fans
and is awarding a championship title belt in the welterweight division.
A war is expected between Chad Gerow and Andy Padda for the WFC Championship
Welterweight title (170lbs). Gerow is from the Kitselas First Nation near Terrace,
BC.

always ready to go to battle. This dangerous striker is continuously improving in all
aspects of the MMA game. Gerow trains with World Extreme Kickboxing in Surrey,
and also spends time with this fight family, Chilliwacks own Four Directions Martial
Arts Academy. His opponent Padda, who began his MMA training under Kultar "The
Black Mamba" Gill (

flag from LevelUp MMA from Surrey, BC (

reckoned with at 155lbs and 170lbs. WFC promoter Darwin Douglas, says, "Don’t
blink! This fight will be prove to be an all out war with two equally tough and skilled
Kolten "KOKO" Higginbottom, with a current record of 4-3 trains under Darwin
Douglas and Jamie Siraj of Four Directions Martial Arts Academy

months, is stepping up a weight class to match Perry Hayer in the welterweight
division (170lbs). Hayer, fighting out of LevelUp MMA in Surrey, BC has fought many
battles for WFC. After some time away from WFC competition, Hayer is ready with
his strong striking ability and submission skills to take on the growing force in
Higginbottom.
Wally Joe, a hometown favorite who is Stó:lō Coast Salish from Kwakwapilt First
Nation in Chilliwack has a strong warrior spirit and hands of stone. Joe’s boxing
skills and experience against young Justin Auld-Field from Pacific Top Team Jiu Jitsu
in Kelowna, BC (

bring him victory. Auld-Field has a reputation of a dangerous submission artist.
There are high hopes for this young fighter who will be put to the test, coming in to
steal the victory from the hometown favorite. Joe and Auld-Field are fighting at a
catchweight of 175lbs.
WFC is excited for the lightweight (155lbs) match between Trevor Gill and Dakota
O’Connor. Gill is a new prospect fighting out of Mamba MMA who has a wrestling
background. You can expect Gill to be well-prepared under Coach Kultar "The Black
Mamba" Gill, who owns and coaches one of Canada’s strongest MMA gyms, Mamba

he’s ready to bring his exciting fighting style to the WFC cage.
Mikel DuPont will verse Tristan Sargeant in a light heavyweight division (205lbs).
DuPont, from Mata Leao MMA in Kamploops BC (

comes from a strong and successful team of fighters. His opponent Sargeant, fighting
independently from Merritt BC has heavy hands. This is a classic striker versus jiu
jitsu match up.
