Maximum Fighting Championship is a Canadian mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion based in Edmonton, Alberta. The MFC’s exclusive home in Canada is the River Cree Resort and Casino in Enoch, Alberta, located just outside of Edmonton, Alberta. MFC events are broadcast on HDNet and The Fight Network in North America. The MFC is known for attracting both young fighters, such as Paul Daley and Ben Henderson, plus renowned veterans, such as Jason MacDonald and Thales Leites.
Strong leadership is a cornerstone for the success of the Maximum Fighting Championship and it is provided by the MFC Owner/President Mark Pavelich.
Mark is not just a business owner, but a true pioneer in the world of mixed martial arts as one of the very few men in senior management of an MMA organization who has actually trained in the sport and then put all of his education and expertise into a full-time concentrated effort into building the MFC to where it is today and where it will go in the future.
In addition to the day-to-day operations of the MFC, Mark works tirelessly in the areas of corporate sponsorship and fighter contracts. Mark’s passion for MMA is also exhibited on the management side as he represents the interests of Pro Camp Sports Management fighters – a stable highlighted by UFC middleweight star Jason “The Athlete” MacDonald.
Where it takes most professional sports organizations dozens of employees to achieve its goals, the MFC conquers its tasks with minimal staff all focused on the company’s success. An unmatched work ethic and unbridled passion for the sport is the difference between the MFC and other mixed martial arts organizations. The MFC is essentially a family-run organization with Dave Pavelich as the Vice-President and Manon Pavelich in the role of Treasurer and Ticket Network Manager.
