BIG UFC weekend in Van-City we would like to start by wishing Kelowna’s own Rory McDonald, Toronto's Claude Patrick and Montreal's David Loiseau best of luck in their upcoming matches on Saturday.
For the full details on all the other MMA events happening in June visit our upcoming events page, which we will be updating all the time. So be sure to check in regularly and if you have an event coming up send us an email request to post your event information.
It’s looking like it’s a great time to be a MMA fan in BC this summer, we will have several "must-see" events starting next Saturday with the 2010 West Coast Submission Championship organized by The West Coast BJJ Association at the Harold Bishop Elementary School; 15670 104 Avenue, Surrey, BC from 9:00am to 5:00pm. It is not a MMA event per say but it is a tournament style competition and best of all, it’s free to attend. (55$ to participate).
On July 9 BCMMAA.COM will be attending the MMA Final Fightdown at the River Rock Casino in Richmond. This will be the first cage event ever at the River Rock and hopefully not the last time!
We will be giving away 2 FREE tickets every week up until the event! (approximate value of $120 per pair)
Starting this week, we will be having weekly draws for your chance to win tickets and see Sarah McLeod vs. Amy Caldwell (Everett, WA) Canada VS USA, Co-main event. For your chance to win send your name and contact info to bcmmaa@gmail.com with free tickets in the subject line( BC residents only)
I want everybody to mark down JULY 17 on your calendars, AFC 3 will be in full effect. We were able to catch Darren Owen, President of AFC, at HCC last month. Check it out !
We will be keeping you up to date every week on all MMA in Vancouver and throughout British Columbia so stay tuned.
In the upcoming editions we will have all the itty gritty on Battlefield II. Rumor has it that in August there may be a Gary Mangat vs. Chris Day Main card ( Can you Believe it ? )
Also CACSC will be returning to the Red Robinson theatre in September for the BC amateur championship.
Until then, enjoy the UFC this weekend and stay strong my friends !
Ben Mehdi,
President of BCMMAA
