UFC.com Leaks Full Episode of “Countdown to UFC 134″ PRIOR to Spike TV’s Premiere
Although the trauma of the UFC’s departure from Spike TV for FOX has yet to subside, the world’s premier mixed martial arts promotion decided to dump salt on Spike’s fresh wounds Tuesday morning by leaking the full episode of “Countdown to UFC 134” on UFC.com.
The hour-long documentary is scheduled to debut on Spike this Thursday night at 11PM ET/PT.
After six successful years with Spike, the UFC inked a blockbuster television broadcast deal with FOX last Thursday. It appears their split from their longtime freebie TV partners was far from amicable.
UFC 134 takes place this Saturday inside the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro. Middleweight king Anderson Silva (Pictured) defends his throne against Yushin Okami in the card’s featured attraction. The special follows the 185-pounders around as they prepare for this weekend’s shootout in Brazil.
In addition, the show also showcases the card’s co-main event between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Forrest Griffin as they construct their strategies for their critical scrap.
“The Ultimate Fighter 14″ premieres September 21st at 9PM ET/PT on Spike TV. It will be interesting to see if UFC.com will offer up any spoilers for the series’ final run on the network.
